Hi,
I have an amd athlon thunderbird 6.4.4 cpu on a Via KT266/VT8233 board, any idea what is the fastest dual core cpu I can upgrade to.

Chiefish is right - there are no dual-core processors for your motherboard.

I can use for watching tv programs, usual surfing / pc stuff,

it may depend on the actual version and manufacturer of your motherboard, but if I remember correct KT266 supported maximum speed of 1400MHz Thinderbird FSB100(200) version; 133(266) versions were not supported _________________ Power without the price. |
