Hello, I have a K6-2/500AFX with standard letters, but also I have one with the letters green, is a different version or perhaps is the color of thermal paste?

Thank you in advance

Green color of markings on that CPU is due to green thermal paste.

Interesting, it means we can control the color of printing using different thermal paste:)

the 'printing' on the K6-2 is actually just a very fine engraving so it can be filled with various things (I use a dry erase marker to fill the engravings to assist in scanning them)

This is one of only 5 in the world golden K6 processors. In 1999, AMD made 5 golden K6-2, and placed them in regular retail packaging like any processor. The lucky 5 who purchased the golden K6-2 were invited to go on a tour of AMD manufacturing plant on 31 December 1999.

Due to the special heat conduction properties of gold, this CPU can overclock very well. This one goes up to * 522.5 MHz * easily, and I got it up to * 533.5 MHz !! * with a little extra voltage.

The gold stuff seems not to be well done on the surface, it looks very weak or let's say it is not plated well according to the picture, right?
