This is the first step to the new layout
in France and Germany all the sub categories are missing (es. CPU-Intel-Other) there is only the CPU category with all inside and the only search way is for key words (es. C8080)
..... my own serch engine on the new items listed at the moment is broken in these country , it works only in Italy, Australia, GB and USA at the moment |

ya I opted out as well.. totally rubbish.. loads of sub categories GO MISSING
So if you are using eBay, SWITCH BACK to the old version. You have a better chance of finding stuff.
If the switch link is not on the footer, look near the top right of your item page, it whould be there. |

It really sucks, you can't browse as fast as the old version.
Plus it gets on my nerves... |

Get as many people as possible to e-mail ebay to tell them their new interface sucks. If they get a lot of responses, they may not proceed with its implementation.
I don't understand what is wrong with the old one??? Don't you just hate websites which change for change sake! |

Notice the changes, ebay are stripping out the styling that experienced sellers were using. Look at items in the old and in the new layout. There is a BIG difference! The "new" layout looks very generic. I think the intention here is to homogonise the entire ebay network. I dont really understand why, as transactions will always be between a seller and a buyer, unless ebay are planning on taking over the world.
Oh.. and I also notice the opt out/in of the changes link has been removed from my ebay account.
finally.. ebay will never listen to anyone, save your breath. |

The eBay users in Germany have the "honor" to be the beta testers of this crappy design. The most unpleasant aspect of the new layout is the "best match" sorting by default. You can change it (the switch is well hidden), but it keeps switching back from time to time.
The opt out link has been removed from almost all german eBay pages. I constructed an opt out link myself, but the most users in Germany are forced to use this crap.
We complained, sent email but eBay doesn't care at all. Prepare yourself - the "new search" will become mandatory very soon.
It's very sad to say - but eBay is dying.
I heard the rumor that the management of eBay wants to lower the stock prices in order to be able to take the control over the whole company.
I didn't believe it first, but there are too many efforts made to repulse sellers and buyers from eBay. Nobody (even an incompetent manager) can make so many mistakes in a row! |

Here is it

As I said in my previous post the users of eBay Germany were the beta testers of this new desaster. The opt out link was removed from german eBay pages about two months ago.
Now the time has come for the remainder of the world. |
