I`m collecting all kinds of processors plus ALUs
and like very much the exotic, uncommon stuff. |
I'm like Doccy.
Since my collecting only began seriously this spring, I am accepting any chip that I find interesting, exotic and eye-catching, whether rare or common.
In addition, I'm trying to complete an MCS-4 set and I have quite a few families, but hard to count them until I get them all listed on EXCEL.
I've only got about 25% cataloged ATM. (A good winter project, I guess!)
I just finished de-soldering about 4 dozen chips while the weather is still good. |

that is why I mentioned each Soviet firm counts as one, since they are different plants/logos.
And I wouklld assume there was some 'friendly' competition amongst them. |
IMHO... Soviet manufacturers are so different.
For example Angstrem(PDP11, Z80 clones), Kvazar(i8080, i808x), Integral (SBP0400), Electronika (Am290x)... ect cloned and produced CPUs.
But Kvantor, Dnepr, Rodon... just received all documentation, equipment and specialists.
It seems to be... it will be new article on my site _________________ My Want List: http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22729

I already wrote in another post. But this is the right place.
I have 62 different manufacturers, for only cpus in my collection. |

Now I changed my mind to enlarge my collection to include as many as possible chip manufacturers.
I have 95 right now. _________________ My vintage CPU collection:www.cpumuseum.com

I have 21 different manufacturers in my collection, with the vast majority of chips from about 5 of them. _________________ General failure reading disk in drive A

I have between 21-25 manufacturers. I am collecting non x86 cpus or various other specialized processors mostly and my collection doesn't exceed 60 items right now. _________________ http://picasaweb.google.com/vezhlys/CPUsCollection |
