I have a working tower that houses an ASUS A7V333 Socket A MOBO with KT333 chipset. It uses DDR SDRAM. I've used an AMD 1500+ but want to know the ceiling for my motherboard. I know this is fairly old - and I do have a much more modern tower! But I hate to let old PC's die. This one could still be quite decent with a little more oomph in the CPU.

Anyone know about this motherboard? Can verfiy what AMD CPU's I can use? Or know a reliable source where I can find the info myself? Thanks a million.

According to the Asus website:

http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=A7V333

you can use any socket A CPU except for the fastest ones that require a 400 MHz FSB (AthlonXP 3000+, 3200+) IF the PCB version is 2.0, and the BIOS is updated.
