| I have a pentium 4 3,6 ghz cpu. When i monitor with everest it seems only to to go with 2,8 ghz speed, but whe i start to stress it it goes up to 3.6 ghz. Is this a normal behavior for cpu? |

| I believe the more recent P4s have speedstep, which increases the multiplier when actiave, and decreases it when inactive to reduce idle power use. |
