Engineering Samples are hard to find unless you have connections in the IC industry, it seems. |
I think this is the case with a few but at least half of my samples have come from sources that all of you have access to. My point is, get creative. I thought the same thing when I first started collecting, it kind of frustrated me as other collectors were always finding this amazing stuff. There are some that have connections to the recycling industry or work in an industry that gives them access to chips but a majority dont. At least I dont think they do.
While I am not going to divulge my secrets I will say that most of my sources are available to anyone and I don't mean large IC houses like USBid, etc. but other more creative sources. So you dont have to have any direct connections just get creative with your searching. |
