wow, very impressive!
this was the one in ferro999's pictures.
Though I cant see clearly what it was at that time but I was very curious since that was the first time I see big "intel" words is on the lower part of a cpu!

I remember a taiwan collector has such a kind of 186 (with the same size of 80386). but this one I feel like it is a kind of sample with ES on the back and large printing on the front

does seem odd since the 80C186EB is typically a 84 pin package.

Also look at the "A80" - seems to be lower than the C186EB16. Do any other intel CPUs have staggered printing?

its a fake

the FPO says its B1 stepping, which wasnt released till 1998

I dont think its fake. I might provide some proof later.
It could be tested on a motherboard ?

The EC version came in a 100 pin package, so its possible for a sample to be in a 132CPGA

The EB version, wouldhave been in a 84pin CPGA or so, and with the date code, would have an FPO that did not end in 'C'
