Regarding the documents I got from the Intel museum I requested copyright to post stuff here.
Now I got a mail with the following content:

[Start]
From Intel: Regular Request Process (acknowledgement of receipt)

Approved:
Thank you for contacting Intel Corporation. This email is to inform you that your request for copyright permission has been Approved.

Thank you for visiting our site. Intel Corporation.

Regards,

Intel Copyright Permission Department.
[End]

I am a bit confused by the line
Regular Request Process (acknowledgement of receipt)
versus
This email is to inform you that your request for copyright permission has been Approved.

Does this mean they tell me that they got my request and it is in progress OR is this the final confirmation?

Thanks, Michael

I think it is pretty clear, explicit and unambiguous:

"This email is to inform you that your request for copyright permission has been Approved"

If it says that, there is no doubt that it has been approved, otherwise they definitely wouldn't say this (& their legal department would vet every piece of official correspondence). So go for it. You have it in writing!
