What do you guys use to cut Anti-static foam? I have been using utility knife and switching out the blades on every 5 sheets but i still get tearing on occasion. Maybe there is a better method?

Just a craft knife.

Maybe you want to try a hot-wire cutter (easy to make)

I rip it with my teeth.

Ok.. seriously.. you need a good quality sharp blade. Forget hot wire cutters, they stink and are not necessary. The sharp utility blades that can snap off in segments are the best, so you can keep the tip sharp. It doesnt have to be expensive, I picked up the blade holder at your equivilant of a Dollar store ( Poundland for you UK folk!.. everything is a pound.. unless it is £2. lol). Fresh blades I picked up from a hardware store. Remember foam is not a long term storage solution, and I am basing that purely on the degredation of older types of foam I have used. I dont know how long the stuff I am using now will last, but I dont expect it to last forever.

I use a craft knife (Stanley type with break-offs to remove when they loose their sharpness). The hot-wire was suggested since Windmiller seems to have trouble keeping a sharp blade!

I was using a utility knife with brand new blades and cut about 1/3 fo the sheets I needed and then started getting tears. I was switching blades every 3rd sheet and couldnt figure out what the hell was going on. After seeing you guys use the same tool I figured it had to be the blades. Turn out one set of blades were greased and had waay too much grease on them and were causing the tears. Swtiched back to the blades with little to no grease and the rest cut fine. Took me firken almost two hours to size and cut for 15 drawers. Came out beautiful though! Kind of grainy pics since its dark here.

While I am uploading photos thought I would show you guys a Amdahl banner I just got next to one of the MCM boards (Fujitsu M-100) that uses Amdahl technology.

I got a serious discount on "damaged" model so it came without handles. The lack of handles turned out to be the only damage.

Will be kind of fun coming up with some handles for it. What I imagined was having some a chip for each manufacturer embedded in plastic/lucite and having it mounted to a handle but turns out to be way too expensive. I bought it months ago but coudnt find foam large enough to fit until Debs took care of it.

I would have been happy about having a metal cabinet a few weeks ago. I went from boxes to this so it was a big jump.
