There are at least 30 active members on this forum. If every of them donate 5.00 EUR we will get 150 EUR together.
Another possibility is to organize a beneficial auction. We could offer some chips for sale - all the money will be donated for the new auction software.
Ebay isn't an option now
Because of high fees, forced PayPal usage, censored feedbacks, hidden bidder IDs, tons of garbage listed for $0.00 insertion fee and malfunctioning search engine it's quite risky to sell something on eBay right now. |

Seems like michefe has put something together. We leave the commercial option for now but its good to know where we stand if it comes up again. Keep voting. _________________ My collection: http://www.cpucollection.se :::::: http://www.chipdb.org Photos of chips you never knew existed. Now over 6000 different chips in the database. |

If michefe's project doesn't work out, I will be happy to make a small donation toward the cost of purchasing tried and tested software to set this up. A donation will cost most of us less than we are already paying for the "honour" of using eBay, whether buying or selling _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

I like the way it is now- Maybe we should add a feedback section to each user's profile, but aside from that... I'd prefer not to pay money to trade chips
But if everybody's going for it, I'll throw in a few bucks. |

Here I am.
As promised I put online the first rough draft of my auction section.
You can find it here.
http://canoro.altervista.org/cpu/aste/index.php
Please, be soft with censure , it is in Pre-Beta-Test, I'm still working on it.
What you can do now :
You can register (do not use real password now, they are saved in clear because I'm still working on security); You can login; You can show lists and items; You can Watch, Add a seller as favorite, See profile.
What you cna't do:
You still can't confirm a bid; You can't place an auction.
Some words are still in Italian, I'm traslating.
Sorry for dark blue background, it is the design I gave to my website.
I need some weeks long; I want (and neesd) to be sure it is fully working and free of bugs and holes.
I'm in for donation for having a software for our website, not for fees (I have already to pay ebay). |

Looks like a potentially good site once it works as you expect it to. I look forward to seeing what you are capable of _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

i agree with Debs
plus its clean, simple & fast to load (unlike the new version of another auction site ) _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:
