Ok have a look now, I've added some C4004s to the front page. Does the error still show?

Edit: I found out the HTML "virus" was an old web hit counter I added a few years ago, before I found out my host had its own stats. Laughing Removing it now

i think your site is still infected
at least the following 4 file are still infected
cool_strange_unusall.html
rare_stuff.html
contactus.html
wanted.html

I can tell by the first html file you copied that youre still viewing a cached version of those links(as theyre old file names). Please clear the cache and look again. The site will be down for a few minutes just so I can scan each file to confirm it was the html hitcounter, and not a real virus.

Sites back up, no viruses detected as I expected...is avast the only program reporting a problem?? That's what it seems like. If hitting "Report a false positive means avast will investigate the site for viruses, then I encourage doing it to get a piece of mind Smile

I just viewed the site from a computer that has never accessed it before, which also has Avast installed, and it gave the same results. From my main internet browsing computer, with Norton installed, there are no warnings, and when I had Zone Alarm installed that also gave no warnings.

I have just reported it as a false positive, but it still would not let me view the pages from that computer.

i am afraid that you got a new friend
your site is tring to make my pc connect to webstat.net
and google of webstat.net return that it is a malware

http://www.exterminate-it.com/malpedia/remove-webstat-net

it says
it
may make the computer very slow
and it may get control of your email box and deliver email with this malware attached

webstat!!!!! thats it! thats what I used to count my sites stats back in 2006. I took off the code on the front page but I seem to have put it on the other pages too. I'm dealing with it now

Found the stupid script that was causing the problem :

"
script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://www.webstat.net/java.php?user=18656"></script><noscript><a href="http://www.webstat.net/v/" target="_blank">
<img src="http://www.webstat.net/webstat.php?user=18656" alt="Webstat Free Counter Tracker" border="0"></a></noscript> "

I just manually removed it from all the pages of my site. Although it was a completely harmless hit counter, it should now work with Avast. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for your patience Smile

to everyone who are using Avast - change antivirus ! I used it before Home version at home and professional at work. It not remove trojans from USB flash drives and even not detect them. I don't say about other viruses ... It is not worth 1 penny. AVG 8.0 is better than Avast. Now I use Kaspersky - not perfect but best from all which I used before.
