Update
deciding that an extra plastic layer had been applied to the base of the cpu i had a poke around and scraped away at the area where the sSpec was.
Underneath was the original sSpec of SL27H
to confirm i scraped the start of the part number, showing FV for FV80503166
Some major overclocking would of been happening, running a 166 processor at 233MHz (40% overclock ) _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

I did run one for several years from 166 to 262,5 with stock voltage, rock solid. |

checking the 200 & 233 pentiums i have, i found another fake
this one had a non-standard heat sink glued on it, before i removed it.
the 166 in the corner having been remarked with 233. there is no signs of grinding of the processor face
on the bottom had some barcode stickers running down each side. the bottom on inspection appears to have been repainted then remarked. _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

just realised that the real markings on the CPU make it the youngest ceramic pentium in my collection _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

on reflection the font doesn't look that different.. so it probably not a fake
but one of Jac's is unusual the "Intel Pentium FV80503233 Q326", cos the TM symbol is positioned on the line different from all other PPGA (Q or S varieties) pentiums

Looking at those pentiums, yes the TM is higher up, but I think mine is also the only one with an I prefix on the long code, the others are C or L
I for Malaysia

I believe I have one of these. It has an Intel heatsink/fan on it and I haven't removed it yet, but the 233 in the corner looks like yours, with no sign of re-etching. |

in my search of the verge (aka kerbside) collections I found a fully working ultra-sonic bath cleaner
So i thought i would give it a try on a pentium that had thermal paste that wouldnt come off.
It was working well not just on the thermal paste but also the printing underneath
So my SX963 A80502-100 Pentium that i didnt even give an inkling of being a fake had a surprise for me.
looking at it now, knowing its a fake.. the only thing strange is the gap between 92 & 93 etched on the top _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Does the chip still work after being cleaned using ultrasonics? If you are not sure whether it worked before, do you have a cheap duplicate that works that you could test that way? I might buy one if it doesn't kill the core _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
