Found two white 2708.
What does that mean "D".
imho it mast be "C".

seen a white "D"-chip before.... Shocked
Misprint by Intel? However, very nice chips! Very Happy

Nice chips , i have never seen a d2708 either and anyof my searches of data bases show no d2708 hat i can find. Maybe it is a misprint or somthing, definatly a unique prom. Great find Iguana Very Happy

Is it fake? Intel print is very different to the C version - the "i" is much small and the copyright symbol is much bigger??
Interesting that the black dot isn't on pin 1, which is the normal convention. Very strange

Looks like it might be a refurb done by someone who did not understand the Intel numbering convention.

The "1" on pin 1 with the dot on pin 24 is a known package, it's just the print and part number that is not normal

I never knew that. I find it irritating that a standard convention can never be followed (or one agreed to in the first place for such a simple issue)

the style with "1" on pin 1 might show that it is made very early than others. think the many different 8080 made by intel

I have 7 varieties of the white c2708 and none of them have such a stubby I on them. I would have to say someone put that print on them not Intel. It probly looked like this one originally.
