You`re right Igor, I cant remember having
seen a white "D"-chip before....
Misprint by Intel? However, very nice chips! _________________ Ordem e Progresso |

Nice chips , i have never seen a d2708 either and anyof my searches of data bases show no d2708 hat i can find. Maybe it is a misprint or somthing, definatly a unique prom. Great find Iguana _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |

Is it fake? Intel print is very different to the C version - the "i" is much small and the copyright symbol is much bigger??
Interesting that the black dot isn't on pin 1, which is the normal convention. Very strange |

Looks like it might be a refurb done by someone who did not understand the Intel numbering convention.
The "1" on pin 1 with the dot on pin 24 is a known package, it's just the print and part number that is not normal _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

I never knew that. I find it irritating that a standard convention can never be followed (or one agreed to in the first place for such a simple issue) |

I only know it because I checked The Collector’s guide to Vintage Intel Microchips, which shows it _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

the style with "1" on pin 1 might show that it is made very early than others. think the many different 8080 made by intel _________________ My vintage CPU collection:www.cpumuseum.com

I have 7 varieties of the white c2708 and none of them have such a stubby I on them. I would have to say someone put that print on them not Intel. It probly looked like this one originally. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |
