Give us some more information! What kind of motherboard do you have and which CPU?
By looking at those numbers I think you have an AMD Athlon XP 2100+ and 2700+. Is this right?
If so a little story on how CPU's get their clockfrequency: The motherboard has a systemclock (which is, in MHz terms, exactly the same as the Front Side Bus (FSB)). This systemclock/FSB is mutliplied by a multiplier which is set by the CPU. The AMD Athlon XP 2100+ uses a multiplier of 13x and a FSB of 133MHz (DDR266 as it's Dual Data) which means it will run at 1733MHz (13x133 = 1733MHz).
The XP2700+ also has a multiplier of 13x but it uses a 166MHz (DDR333) FSB. 13x166 is 2166MHz which is, along with the higher clocked FSB, a bit faster .
In your case the XP2700+ is detected as a XP2100+. Now you do the math and see what to do with the Front Side Bus! _________________ thandor.net - hardware
