Shoes first, socks afterwards. Smile
I'm quite suprised that "a little snow" paralyzed England like that. Lots of my friends are telling me that whoever shows up at work is mostly Polish, Czech etc. Smile Guess Poles are used to lots of snow during the winter Smile cheers mate, hope U won't have any major problems because of the snow, heh heh.

Old effective trick is to put socks on your shoes.
(I'm just backing up thomsonicus)

Or have Inuit neighbours.

I drove 15 miles to my local Scrabble club last night - and nobody else was there, even those who live in the same village where it is held! I knew the Brits had forgotten how to handle snow, but there was only an inch around here at the time!

They are all playing scrabble online now debs.
There is a good one on facebook, it used to be called Scrabulous, but they had to redesign it and change the name to Lexulous for legal reasons. I played that new layout a couple times, much better. Check it out.

You can't beat a good face to face game of Scrabble, but you are right about a lot of people playing online now.

I usually get to play face to face twice each week (would play tournaments, but they mostly clash with church Sad )

I will check out Lexulous. Have already registered with the online International Scrabble Club, worth checking out if you are a regular player (there are some times that are better than others, of course, but you can get some good games if you get the timing right).
