Lol yes, weeks before I paid 64 Euro to debs for a single one.
You NEVER know.

What about Brians (GMX guy) C4004 auction some weeks ago.
That one he ended early.
He seems to have a full pack grey C4004...

Sure, I do remembered that, you bid againt Chiefish, and you won at 56 euros finally Smile ,
and weeks after that, the nightmare of groupbuy came....
But anyway, like what you said," life is risky", if you love it, you can not lose any chance, just try it Wink

Nope.
I just remember the grey C4004 auction with the picture of the big pack in the background. Here we talked about a group buy, lol.
Also that auction was ended early.
All his later C4004 auctions did not find a regular end.

I didn't contact him this time, just watched and laughed out loud when I saw he cancelled it.
I wonder what his intention is.
Maybe he waits until he gets a question for a good price outside ebay.
If he'd offer one after the other on ebay and let the auctions end the price would drop somewhen.

He is not stupid, I guess.

Was it 56? Ok, anyhow...
It was a bold print, lol

Those 6501 were public available for some weeks so some were sold.
This one comes from a former employee.
The most impressive thing is it is near mint. I'm pretty sute I can clean those few dirty markings on the ceramic.
The lid is perfect.

The way i see it is that sometimes i pay a premium for a chip and sometimes i get it for dirt cheap, I look at the big picture of my collection and think of it in terms of the overall value to me of the chips as a whole, not so much individually. But i would think a chip like this MOS is definatly worth a premium to have. As even if some were released to the public at the time i am sure most did not survive in the wild. And I agree that with just a little cleaning this chip will be in perfect condition. Very Happy

$32,50 less than average Wink
Presuming they will not continue to appear in
the same intervals a price around $800 looks
like not overpriced (considering the presumably at least
ten times more common - and way more famous -
standard C4004 has an average of $330).
