Not that i have less money than before but i have really get selective when buying. Its more than one occasion here in the forums where i have started picking a "basket" of chips in a massive sale thread, counting them up, and ending up closing the thread. Its not as fun anymore. Chips bought in may-june for $100 would now cost $130 converted to the fall of the swedish currency.

Not to mention that some sellers appear to be increasing the price they sell chips for! Or at least some chips seem to have gone up in price, maybe because of new sellers who are finding people pay their prices...

I could not feel the impact of economic recession on cpu-collecting as the bidding war on ebay is as severe as before.
I was outbidden on 42 auctions in the last 31 days

LOL. I bid on far more than I could afford at one point late last year, all with minimal bids that I didn't expect to win with, and until the week where I did win more than I could afford it was great. Let fate decide which chips I ended up with at low prices. That was how I ended up with an AMD FX-74 at a low price (just waiting for a motherboard to arrive from Leevmeister this week so I can use it )
