Spent most of the day yesterday soaking epoxied Pentiums. Only had one casualty, the gold top SX837 had perfect text with "processor" markings but after soaking it the text came off with the epoxy
Eventhough I have been collecting Pentiums for over a year these are actually my very first Socket 4's with "processor" markings.

Nice set! The SX842 and the Q0352 are especially nice (I've not seen many SX842, although I am not sure how (un)common it might be) _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

All good Pentium Porn.
SX842, SX753, SX754 used to be seen a while ago, and they commanded a good price. Havent seen any for a while on ebay. Keep looking, I am sure some sneak in under the radar from time to time. |

What do you use to get epoxy off? I've got a few chips with that stuff on them and I only keep them till I get a better one then they go in the bin. _________________ General failure reading disk in drive A

i dont know what they use, but i have found soaking them in metho for a few days then letting them dry breaks the bond without losing print.
Really hard ones might have to be done a couple of times.
If you cant bothered i'll take then of your hands rather than bin them. They would be good ones to experiment techniques on at least. _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:
