I have here a (nearly?) dead Compaq iPaq 3635 PDA .. apparently it's powered by a 206 MHz Intel StrongARM SA-1110 32-bit RISC processor.. I'm pretty sure the source of all the problems with this pda is a small 'bridge chip' that connects contacts on the motherboard to contacts on a daughterboard that has all the power, buttons, usb etc connections.. as a result the battery cant be charged, and if it had power, it wont sync properly and the buttons dont work.. if you can replace that or fix it, id imagine it should work fine..
but, the cpu is fine and still soldered onto the board.. i dont really care to collect desoldered chips since theyre so fragile, so if anyone wants a strongarm for their collection, you can have it, with the entire pda, usb cable, cradle and a nylon carrying case as well..
heres a decent pic of it as well.. if you can fix it, it should work fine. the os and everything is still fine afaik, it just cant be charged so it wont turn on (i assume)
make me some offers for trades |
