I found this Tandy TRS-80 discarded in a snow bank on a curb pickup day in January and I just got around the checking it out.
I opened it up on Sunday and found the innards intact and in good shape.
I took these pics before cleaning it up after years of neglect. The CPU is a Mostek 3880, which I guess is a Z80 clone(?) A whopping 16K of memory is on board.
This machine needed a separate cassette drive to run the software, but there are 2 bays for optional floppy drives.
After putting it back together, I plugged it in and IT WORKS!
Does anyone have any manuals or Tandy info. sheets for this PC? |

Hey, nice machine John.
It's madness what some people class as junk.
Do a nice refurb job on it!
I've often had things which have been outside for ages and still function. I just give them a visual inspection inside and then give them some juice.. with my finger ready at the socket in case things go a bit bangy! |
