Correction:

Neon_WA wrote:
Siemens ___ Siemens ___ acquired by Infineon

Infineon is a spin-off from Siemens. It was a division of Siemens called "HL" for "Halbleiter" (= semiconductor) before.

In the meantime, Infineon spun off its memory products as a company named Qimonda, which is nearly bankrupt now.
Facilities have been in Villach, Kärnten, Austria and Munich, Bavaria, Germany. After the merger of west and east germany, Infineon expanded in Dresden, Saxonia, Germany.

There were/are probably much more facilities, but these are what I remember.

Sorry, I had misunderstood the original post.I had thought it was for a CPU database rather than all chips.

I am trying to form a list of manufacturers of "collectible" chips for the database.
All of us have non-cpu chips in our collections, cos they might be rare or look pretty Laughing
If someone only collects intels.. then the other manufacturers can be made non-active, so as not to clutter drop down lists.

There are some new ones that lmigt has put down.. so the final list looks as thou its going to be around 400 Shocked

Its easier for it to be done once.. so i am willing to take the time that will save other people the effort of adding them in.
