It is what it says, but is manufactured by IBM.

I don't think so, if it's IBM, why are they using the Intel ceramic package? Wouldn't they use their own? Haven't seen one like it yet

Its made by IBM as a second source for Intel.

I have several of these.

Yes, I would say it's a common chip. The only problem is to get rid of the heatsinks. Those are glued tu the top and cannot be removed easyly. The glue is hard like stone Smile
