I came into my work on monday and found the dumpsters had been filled over the weekend by someone with stuff that did not come out of our shop, so i let the boss know about it and he says Oh Yea i know its the garbage truck drivers, hes coming to take it all away soon with his garbage truck and dump ours for free as well so i let him use the bins over the weekend. Well i ran back outside and started to dig through it some to see what was there. HEh heh heh im not too proud Very Happy . And i started rummiging thru it in the first bag i looked in i found these three items. But time ran out and he was there to take it away.

So i started to ask him about where he got the garbage i had been digging in and it turns out he bought a 30 foot storage container loaded with electronics and he is trying to get rid of what he considers junk. I imediatly asked him if i could see more of it and he was very cool about it and said i should come by his house this saturday and check it out. So guess what ill be doing this weekend. I hope it is all stuff like this I know i saw some big resisters and what looked like ham radio headsets .

The picture i am showing is cool in black and white, showing the guy dipping something like a chip die pattern or somthing. A nice motorlla chip and a cool board with a Sharp Z80A cou on it. So it should be fun to see what else i can get my hands on , I will keep you guys posted. Wink

Does anyone know what the guy in the picture is doing? Looks like some kind of glass plate with a mask on it getting inserted into the machine with several others. Or does anyone recognise the guy from some institution that might manufacture chips.

I thought that it might have been the Sperry logo myself. Ill try and scan it at a much higher res tonight and see if i can blow it up and read what the lable its on says. I also see text on the glass plate as well to check out.

My guess is that he is developing a photographic plate, using film processing equipment made by Calumet Photographic.
