Hi,
the Orchid TURBOEGA card is an upgrade card for the IBM PC XT. It's a combination of a 286 CPU with an EGA video card driven by a classical vintage Chips & Technologies video chipset. This card can be used either as a replacement for the original CPU (8088) or as a CPU upgrade. In the 1st case You have to connect the card to the original CPU socket with a 40-pin adapter and a cable that fits in the connector placed in the top-right part of the card. This kind of upgrade cards allowed PC users to run Windows 2.0 and Windows/286 with XT hardware. The TURBOEGA is equivalent to the more common Orchid TinyTurbo card, except for the added onboard EGA card.
