Can anyone help ID some of these?
I tried Database Archives, but no luck.
NEC D8155, 8039 & 8041 are from an Epson dot matrix printer.
D765AC is from a HD controller board.
The AMD came from an Intel Overdrive socket but I see no part number!
It was covered with hard EPOXY on top, but I found a way the remove the Epoxy without ruining the chip!
I held the side of a hot soldering iron against the epoxy and it softened enough to scrape off with a single-edged razor blade. It's kind of slow, but it works! Try it.
Thanks. |

NEC D8039 and D8041 are microcontrollers (add a 'up' in front of NEC Dxxxx part numbers when searching on datasheetarchive.com as the official numbers are uPD8041 etc)
The AMD part number is printed right above the metal slug (on the black plastic, very hard to read) _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

D765C is a floppy disk controller (it used to be THE standard FDC, that most FDC were based on).
The most comprehensive guide available for programming them can be found at:
