i am full of question today Laughing

while uploading my collection on the x86 website, i realised that my 486SX-33 (SX902 week 21 1994) had a black die cap instead of a gold one.

is there other examples around?

I asked the same question some time ago. I have 3 or 4 of those.

If I remember correctly they share sspec with some gold bottom, they are not so rare, they are just worth a little more than gold ones.

This said, if you are an avid intel collector you may spend more than others would.

For example Genna told me he wasn't really after them, but another user here was actively looking for black caps.

Yes, there are some sspec which have both gold and black bottom, I have ever met sx911 sx955 sx931 sx954,SX903 remarked to SK903 and DX2 SL-66 OEM.
Sometimes, the black bottom ones are more difficult to find than the gold one, such as the DX2 SL-66 OEM.
