Hi,
I have a Sony PCG K415 b laptop with a Celeron D 3.06 processor which runs on a 533mhz FSB. I'd like to upgrade it with a P4 3.2 CPU but the one I have is the SL7PN which runs on a 800mhz FSB. Will it work?, will it work partly?, will it break my motherboard?
best regards Mick Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Probably it will work, but at 2133 MHz (133x16).
This Pentium has a greater thermal dissipstion compared to Celeron,
but I think that downclocking from 3.2 to 2.1 GHz must reduce TDP
and your laptop cooling system would handle it easily.

Thanks for that. Not much point doing it if it drops the speed to just above 2gig though.
