i am going thru my collection and scrapping ones not worth collecting (mainly due to poor writing on the heatsink)

I thought for those that hadnt had the opportunity of seeing whats under the box heat-sinks, this would fill your curiosity Very Happy

the markings are not clear on some, but i wasnt going to spend too much time on something that was going to scrap Laughing

I'm sure you would have sold some of those for more than scrap value if you had tried before removing the heatsinks.

SU071 are uncommon boxed pentiums. BTW one of your two SU071 looks strange, maybe a fake.

all these ones i had trouble reading the markings in the heatsink and i doubt anyone would pay $1.50 plus shipping in the condition they were in.
these were in excess of my collection and ones i consider worth keeping for trade or sale.
Even without these i have another 49 pentium 1s i am putting up for sale, then we will see if i made a mistake Laughing

@ elGecko they looked real with the printing top and bottom.. which one do u think is suss?

Perhaps this is different in Australia. I have 12 box Pentium 150s and they are all SU071.

The SU071 on the right has a quite thin font, also it has very small ceramic edges on borders which could be a consequence of the sanding/remarking method (in contrast to the repainting/remarking method).

Don't know if my explanations are understandable or not lol Wink

P150, boxed or not, are globally uncommon IMHO Smile

yes stu, the SU071 on the right looks strange, would be funny to see what will happen if you use sth. to make it clear.
If it turn out to be a fake, then this one would be the first fake I see that even the marking under HS are changed as well! As far as I know, only marking on HS and on the bottom are changed to be fake
