|
|
Gennadiy locked the thread on me so I have to be nice.
I have some chips on order and that should get me to about 800 different Intel chips in my collection but that is not even close to what some of you have. Who has the most chips in a collection?
60,000 is the highest number claimed by anyone so far. Can anyone beat that?
I am curious how many chips you guys have as that number is quite impressive.
To make this more interesting I will give the winner of this Poll a free NOS ES chip. (P PRO133 ES or a A80486DX ES) or a MCS-4 chip (C4001 or C4002-1) The only thing I ask is that you prove the size of your collection either by a website or picture of it laid out with the list of the chips you have.
The person with the proven biggest collection (doesn't have to be Intel) at the end of 20 days wins.
I will start this thing off with my collection which is currently around 700 -750 Intel chips: http://www.vintagechiptrader.com/Collection.htm
This could be fun

Ha this is an excellent Idea! I feel like a complete idiot for placing on my cpu's on the floor right now- and I KNOW my collection does not match anyone elses. I will need some time to sort it out completely.
I need to do some spring cleaning anyway
Oh, and the losers of this game, do they get anything??? |

I don't think you have to lay them all out. Just give a list and a photo of what you got. I keep my chips in a Stack-On tool box. For a picture I would just open the drawers and take a picture. Of course you can send me the picture if you like. How many chips do you estimate that you have in your collection? (not trading stock although I would be interested in doing some trading) |

That chip went for about $80 less than I had in it I know it wasn't perfect but that hurt my feeling a bit...

More than that, but I don't want to compete. It won't be fair to other collectors ... otherwise it'll be like - rich getting richer

I don't care who plays but it will be interesting to see who has the most at the end of 20 days! Then we can do another one with maybe the rarest chip? and everyone gets a vote. Of course I will throw in a nice chip. Maybe a C8080A or something?
