IN-18 's are nice, accoording to their datasheet they have a short life, but many people have been using them for years at reduced current. I dont like the IN18.. sorry.
Personally, I prefer the B7971 alphanumeric type.. much more information can be conveyed.
GR10G is a nice tube. Value for nixies is roughly determined by size. Condition, i.e. used or new, or new in box, seems to have less of an impact on the price the larger the tube gets - as long as it is working. Listed correctly on ebay I expect around 30 USD for that single tube - maybe more. There is very little QUALITY on ebay the the moment. |

Stated short life of IN-18 is true but looks like running
them on low pulsed current increases their
lifetime very much. I used this B grade tubes
(got them cheap cause bulbs are not in perfect shape)
in my clock for burning them down but noticed no
loss of intensity after three years.
Ok, at night the tubes are additionally
completely blanked 
If the numbers will start to light up patchy
I have to regenerate them! Yes, it`s possible
to reanimate them! 
Max. 50mA for that patchy numbers each
for 1 or 2 hours, if internal wires start to
light up current has to be decreased....

yep.. lots of variation in size and asthetic appearance between tubes. I have heard it can be difficult to get a good match at times. Most other types of tube are very consistent - including the very nice IN-17 - I really like this sweet tube.. the only Russian tube I like. It has the correct 2, and is a nice small size.... also very cheap! |

It's a little out of my collecting interest. The only reference I can find to V-52 is a klystron, so I could be wrong.
Remember, almost anything is worth collecting if you have the space and time and money to invest. There is always someone willing to pay $$ for anything. The trick is finding the open wallet. |

Hello, Valvo E1T (there are compatible versions manufactured by General Electric and Mullard, but Philips is the patent's owner for the tube) is a nice and historically interesting beam-deflection counter tube. I see, You have the original box, and IMHO this is a great addition to Your collection.
