I am wondering two copyright issue:
1) Could I use logoes of Intel, AMD or some others in my website ? only for display or reference of course? or should I first write a letter to Intel to ask for permission? Confused
2) Logoes for some USSR cpu manufacuturer are hard to get from internet, Could I clone or design a new one by myself and use it on my site?

Thanks for your great help

Dude, the fact is Intel, and probably any other company couldnt give a damn if you used their logo. Also the majority of older chip makers have gone out of business or been sold.

If you are staying up at night sweating this issue, just put a notice on the bottom of every page of your website with copyrighted material saying something like: " Other than your own material, all trademarks, product names and company names or logos are the property of their respective owners. "

The only people that seem to bitch about use of their "stuff" or even reference to them, are the nutjobs, fruitcakes..... etc.. I wont say any more as genna will only get a bitchin letter.

on my imprint website i have written:

Trademark Information

All trademarks are property of their respective owners. They are used for identification and informational purposes only.

In germany you have to write something like this on your website
