| one is a compaq 1.8 sempron 939 socket the other is a 1.8 celeron which is better?? for gaming??? I know they suck but im poor |

What kind of Celeron are we talking about? A Celeron 1800 'Willamette' or 'Northwood' on socket 478? In that case an AMD Sempron is a lot faster. In some cases even a Duron 1600 can outperform a Celeron 2666 'Northwood'. Consider the Sempron 1800 being a lot faster than the Duron ... . _________________ thandor.net - hardware

Sempron will be definitely faster. It has more L1 cache, integrated memory controller, 3d Now! technology and it is made in 90nm technology.  |
