It'd be cool if Intel released more black/limited edition unlocked processors, rather than selling overpriced extreme editions.

By the way, I'd like to buy one of these. If anybody from China can help please PM me.

Hi Genna,

There are many E6500K on taobao market for sale:

http://search1.taobao.com/browse/0/n-g,iu3dkmbqjm----------------40--commend-0-all-0.htm?ssid=e-s15&at_topsearch=1

with various prices from 599 to 799 (RMB).

I am not sure if exporting this new & modern processor is allowed by customs. and if allowed how is the custom tax.

Just get rid of the oem packaging and send it like it was an old chip but with better esd protection and let it ride, I bet the guys at customs dont even know what the heck it is even.

I think Genna is for COLLECTING purpose, so keeping the original package would be prefered.
BTW: I just learn from other source that it will be introduced in other country in the near future.

I wanted to get it in sealed package if possible. The processor is not exactly for collection, but more for the site - I wil test it, take pictures, and then sell to recoup some of my costs. I may keep the package, though.

Genna,
I am not sure whether you can make profit by doing this.
but if you want one from china, I can help.
or you can wait for its release in USA.

I'm sure I will loose money, but, I hope, not much.

I don't know when the 6500K will be released in US. It's possible we will have only E6500 (locked version) - it was also released yesterday. I'll PM you about the E6500K.

Don't bother trying to put them in your western motherboard... they only work with Chinese ones! Wink

looks like the E6500K is sold accompanied with BIOSTAR TP45E. but i dont think it will not be used on other compatible MBs.
