Hey guys,
In all of that navy stuff I got,I found several dual xeon boards.I want to use one of them to make a super PC.The one I want to use has dual 3.2g processors, and currently has 2g of ram.I have another 2.6g that can go in it.Heres my problem,it was originally set up as a server with multiple scsi HD's but i need to use my HD from my hp.There is a place on the board to plug in my HD and I tried last night, but the screen kept saying "no operating system found".Is anyone familiar enough with doing this to help me?If not thats ok,my current comp is not bad,but when I have several pages open it runs pretty slow.
Thanks for any help guys,
Johnny. _________________ Everything that is gold, doesn't always glitter. |

one of the scsi drives have been probably made the primary boot drive, so you will need to go into the bios and make the EIDE hard-drive boot b4any of the SCSI drives.
Also if the operating system was already on the drive.. will probably only work if you reinstall the OS. (depends what type of puter the OS was installed on previously)
The 2.6G.. is that extra ram.. or another processor?
dual setups.. need the same speed & stepping processors... but some boards will accept one stepping difference.
are the processors 800 or 533FSB? (sSpec will tell me .. eg SL7AE)
is the mobo a intel or supermicro? (what is the model #) _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

I have quite a few supermicro boards. But the one I would like to use is a X6DHE-G.It has dual 3.2g cpus.Thats kind of why I want to use it.I am running a single 3.06 P4 right now with 1g ram.
