What are the symptoms of processor failure?
Thank you very much for your knowledge.

Severe overheating, even with functional cooling (when the cooling had previously worked just fine, and there's no dust etc etc).

Run a processor test, go find the Ultimate Boot CD, and run it's processor tests after burning it to a CD.

Never had a CPU ever fail on me. Ever. That includes overclocking. Problems have always been ELSEWHERE.

In no particular order....

- Cheap hardware - yeah, that cheap cloned crap. It's cheap for a reason.
- Power supply
- Fans - gunked up with fluff causing overheating
- HD
- Memory
- Mobo
- Operator, yes the dummy at the keyboard with access to a broadband internet connection clicking on Porn links and downloading and installing SHIT buggy software all day.

I've had 3 failed CPUs-
1 mobile, overheated like CRAZY for no reason. Load temps SKYROCKETED, even after reapplication of thermal interface and proper seating of heatsink. Replaced with another processor, worked fine.
2 desktop- 1 Pentium 6xx (forget exactly) would not POST. Intel RMA replaced. 1 QX9650, would not POST after months of being overvolted, overclocked, and with a loose HSF Very Happy Intel RMA replaced.
