Hi. I'm a new user and I'm really sorry that I have to ask a stupid question immediately. Very Happy

I have a Amd Athlon XP 2600+, ID AXDA2600DKV4D and it is identical to this: http://www.cpu-world.com/Images/uploaded/0000/12/L_00001237.jpg

I have tested it in a ASUS A7V600-F and MSI Delta K6 that should have support for Barton core but, without the CPU or with an another CPU, the Mobo starts but with this CPU mounted, the mobo doesn't not power up at all.

I have checked the L bridges on the CPU with the table found here: http://fab51.com/cpu/barton/athlon-e23.html and it seeems ok.

Change FSB from jumper Mobo seems to be useless.

Any advice before declaring the CPU dead (or at least I have seen only dead CPU that power up mobo anyway Confused )?

Thanks!

Is the bios at its latest update? Maybe too old bios. This is so far fetched that I doubt myself to be the cause of it. Worth a 30 seconds check.

My opinion is dead cpu.
