Sometimes (actually quite often) we see here somebody's nice chips (peronal updates, requests, sales... ).
Probably the greatest set of rare CPUs is on chipdb.org.
Many of as have own inclusive collections web sites as well but not all of us.
It's not easy to go throug all the sites/topics to find the very best.
I have a proposition.
Let each of us make a picture of 10 ( 2, 20, 50, 100, or - as you like) the best chips he has (maybe never seen in other collections) and post (then update it regularly) it in the thread named something like "The best chips we have".
What a thread it will be!

but it is not easy to maintain in a single thread (look at the " latest finding " thread of the modern chip /vintage chip forum)
i think a forum named "The best chips we have". is better
in that forum, everyone maintain a thread of his own |

Everyone will post only a single post (and edit it time by time).
And what about to make this thread sticky and to discuss images in parallel thread "The best chips we have discussion" ? _________________ My Want List: http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22729

Sounds like an interesting idea to me. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |

I don't think it needs to be stuck.
People will update often in the few days after you write the topic, and then, nothing will happen during long time before someone find a new best 10's cpu.
But well, make your topic, and we'll see if it would be better to be stuck on top or not, according to its popularity. _________________ Register on x86-guide.net to manage and share your collection on-line !
