| I have AMD Athlon XP 3000+ - AXDA3000DKV4E cpu when I switch the FSB on 200 MHz and charge the machine perhaps with a game the system reboots, so I'am running the cpu no 166 MHz and there is no problem, but I 'd like to use it's full capacity.Does somebody give me an advise . |

Try Cpuz, it's a fre program to check if your cpu is really 200mhz fsb.
Could be that the cpu is a fake 3000+ 200 fsb and be 3000 166mhz.
Than report here.
Otherwise could be that raising the fsb stresses the ram, if ram isn't ddr3200 (400 mhz or 200 mhz fsb as chipset). If ram is 166 mhz as cpu, than it's ddr 2700 (ddr333 mhz).
If the latter is the case you need to lower the speed of your ram in the bios.
Or buy new ram. |

Your XP 3000+ runs normally at FSB333 (166 MHz). The number "4" in the type code says that. I also own such a 3000+ (type AXDA3000DKV4D), that also runs only at 166 MHz.

I beg to differ, the 4 is the amount of cache. The final E identifies the fsb.

D Package type: 453-pin organic PGA (socket A/socket 462)
K Voltage: 1.65V
V Maximum operating temperature: 85°C
4 L2 cache size: 512 KB
E Bus frequency: 400 MHz (effective), 200 MHz (actual)
i would expect to find out the processor is a fake
but if you can post a good pic.. then we can check the bridges to tell what it actually or if they have been modified _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

| I had the same problem with my previous cpu ,it's also AMD but AXDA2400KV3C it doesn't work properly at it nominal bus speed of 133 MHz and when it's charged reboots, so I changed the FSB to 100 MHz and it ran well, but it works approximately at 1500 MHz, maybe there is a problem with the mother board. |

| So the same problem with two different cpus seems to be a little bit suspicious. |

You should check your bios to see if Fsb is set to auto.
What's the model of your motherboard? |
