what do you call this in english
second rainbow?
we call it "ni" in chinese
It is called a "secondary bow".

In my lexicon, there is no other special name for that, but on matters of English language, I defer to a well-educated Englishman / -woman.

Hi guys:

Don't even bother to compete with me about rainbows - we have a rainbow on our license plates. In fact, here in Hawaii the only rainbows that count are those that span a full 180 degrees circle and have a secondary as well LOL. Here are two of the real good ones:

Enjoy!

Wow, I have some serious competition from Australia - yes, that one is grade A certified LOL. It's marvelous!

I'm curious where the picture was taken ...

That's right. I took that photo (two actually, stitched together) in the hills of Perth, looking east.

Uh, I was wondering what kind of lens you used to get the entire rainbow. I need to start stitching as well Smile

Nice nice nice pictures there guys..

... yeah there was a second rainbow in my picture, not as clear as the main one. I couldnt pull over again to take more pictures, the picture I took didnt show it as it really looked while driving along. It's not the sort of thing seen here every day ( even taking into account how often it rains in England ).
