This depends on your motherboard. Older motherboards, not designed for coppermine Celerons, wouldn't work with them. Maybe they would with the FC-PGA adapter, but I don't know as I never used one. Newer Celeron motherboards could be used with both PPGA Celerons and Coppermine Celerons.

I should be able to use a powerleap PPGA to FC-PGA1 adaptor, but cos the M/B is only 66MHz it would only take a MAx of those 766MHz Celeron's it's just not worth buying a adaptor for! Bu i can plug a 533Celeron in native. am hoping that an 'ordinary' 700MHz (Cheap ebay) will work but will be crippled by that 66MHz bus) (If the 700MHz works then in theory all the way upto 1100MHZ will work (fastest 100MHz FC-PGA1 CPU) |
