IMO, the ebay should change its rule to be: none of buyer and seller can see the feedback until they have given the feedback each other. and some shopping webs work well like this.

This would solve a lot of things. Right now ebay is more of a pigsty than else.

The worst is that these persons exist out of ebay too...

Here's an update,
I spoke with an attorney today that said it would never make it to court and if it did,he wouldn't miss it for the world. He said he'd gladly represent me for free just to watch the judge laugh the guy out of the courtroom. He also said,in order for that guy to have that law firm send me a letter like that,it would have costed him several hundred dollars...........the refund I wanted would have only been 80. Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Refund 80? How much did you pay ?

I also surprise that why this guy decide to sue you, only because of the negative feedback or you offend him in other way?
Also is it common to sue person to the real court because of dissension at the ebay or other shopping web? Very Happy

Ok guys check this out, last week we recieved another letter from that law firm the beginning of last week.In the letter they thanked me for not leaving any more bad comments, but stated that I "still hadn't held up to my end of the bargain to have the negative feedbacks removed"....
Heres the problem with all of that........I stopped leaving bad comments because I wasn't able to,not because I chose to.And as far as me holding up to my end of the bargain.....I never agreed to remove any of the feedback,on the contrary,I would leave more if I were able to.Also he calle dour company phone and left a very long message about how I need to remove those feedbacks or he is going to pursue a lawsuit.
AND THE ULTIMATE KICKER OF ALL OF THIS:
in the last 3 weeks he has recieved 4(THATS FOUR) more negative feedbacks and 1 nuetral.
Maybe I should warn them huh.lol
Johnny

I'm sorry that sellers like that exist...

I had mistakes before, but when the old system of feedback was up, they worked their ass off to put a patch.
Even out of ebay I had the chance to buy from good people...

Bad buyers exist too. Unless you get a person set and gone for a fraud, things usually work out.

Don't be too upset, it wouldn't be of any help.
I'd like to work for the firm he hired. Cash in machine...

I think you should respond "go for it..." and just see it come to nothing. All idle threats with no basis

Stupid eBay which provided only one way negative feedback. I have had similar problem where buyer tried to cheat me and gave me negative. I could only leave positive for him. That stinks !

Type, "This is positive feedback! (etc)" in the negative feedback,

-You can jam a comment into an existing topic of semi-fake forums too, like DLink`s.

ebay identifies "positive with negative comments" as feedback abuse, and will be removed if they find it or if they are asked to remove it. So dont do it.

I think you should report him to Ebay - his behavior is abusive, especially leaving voice mails on you company phone. It's inexcusable

Should be easy for you as he lies in his feedback answers as well.
He claims to have stated things in his auction text that is not there.
