Forum is growing and more users are join. More spammers and spam bots are present too. My modest suggest is to make a new moderator promotion to well known and old forum's user. I'm not trying to offend current mods because nobody have 24h per day to keep an eye on forum. Sometimes I see spam topic are up for some hours maybe just for that this will be handly.
I suspect there are some users which are "suitable" for that job include me If that is good idea let's make vote for : WHO ?? _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

This is going to get even rougher than US presidentials... LOL
Is there any way to know how often users connect? Maybe that's going to give better results to make a choice.
The users that make the most accesses get to be eligible. |

Tidying my house,
washing my car,
scanning my cpu,
bringing me hot drinks,
making my dinner
yeah.. I think the current mods are lacking. |

Spam bots know about the black hole here and have "advert frenzy" between about 10 am to 3 pm in GMT +1 time. Not often but from time to time. This is not serious problem but maybe worth to consider. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

They are not spam bots - they are real people registering on the board and posting spam. Blocking them is difficult as they can modify message text to bypass our spam-filters. Also, forum's spam-filters are kind of old - I haven't updated them in a while. I will update the filters this week. We can also add another moderator. Since you see many spam messages then you're very good candidate for new moderator

I would gladly help if that will be accepted. Anyway in same time I'm moderator on polish forum http://forum.siemensiak.pl where was huge traffic some years ago. Since October 2006 when Siemens Mobile died there are much less posts and new users but always clean and with great database. I hope our forum will never die or even work with less traffic _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
