| Good candidate for a group buy if the chips arent too expensive. I would in for 1 or 2 at $6 each. |

| These aren't chip, just the bare metal layer of unfinished dip packages without any die on theme. |

Well, I don't know what this guy sell exactly (except what he told on ebay) but... this could be interesting even if there are no chip (die, wafer or anything else...) at all.
(just take a look how many of collectors have been ordered wafer recently... [for me, it is interesting... don't know...])
I did quick math, looks like there are at least 200x6=1200 pcs.
Let say that one can be sold for few euros... _________________ www.chipmuseum.com |

There are thousands of them there, That kind of takes away from any kind of rarity of them heh heh heh , and its already up to $355 as of this post, so its not going to go cheap. At first I thouhgt they were grey traced but as I blow up the pics I can see they are just the metal plates with the gold plating on them and cut out between the trace lines. I dont think you would ever be able to sell them all unless they went for pennies a piece.
I bought a bunch of D80287s not too long ago and sold them for $1 each and less and I still have a hundred or so of them laying around in bags. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |

OK, OK maybe I was wrong (and too fast)... My first reaction was; Wow! this is a million dollars, than (after second) nooo, those are the chips, than (after 2 seconds, [and after i wrote this topic]) I saw a bit clearer...
... and... I am not sure jet
even if someone can not sell all of them... he can ( for example ) print his logo (or some funny messages) at the place for die and use them as small gift to friends... |
