Hey guys, just wanted to get your opinion on whether my description was accurate or not on an eBay auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=16180&item=6758358596

These are Socket 370 fcpga Celeron processors, and I have always called them Coppermines, which I guess technically is the codename for the P3 of that range. So, even though I say CELERON 3 times in the listing, some goofus bought one and thought it was a P3 because it says Coppermine. He left me neutral feedback saying my listing was not accurate. I work really hard and have 1300+ feedback with 100%. The neutral doesn't affect my 100%, but it irritates me anyway.

I would really appreciate if someone, anyone would add your 2 cents to let me know what you think about calling a Socket 370 fcpga celeron a Coppermine. Am I completely wrong, partially wrong, or right? Should I call them Coppermine-128 as I've seen on cpudb.com?

Thanks a lot in advance for anyone's input!

they are coppermine cored, just with either half the cache disabled (usually due to it not passing QC)

Coppermine is the name for a core technology NOT a PIII or Celeron,
you can have a coppermine core celeron or a coppermine PIII.

you've been to my site, thats awesome Very Happy

like cpushack said, they are coppermine, but i found the celeron variety is usually called coppermine-128 since they only have 128k cache

basically intel made coppermine p3s, and if the cache didnt all check out, they lasered it out and remarked them as celerons (which is why they were such good overclockers, since their fsb was usually running at less than half of what it was designed for)

at any rate, your auction is accurate, and your buyer is an idiot for not reading. you state very clearly that its a celeron, in the title, the description several times, and its also clearly visible in the picture.

if it was negative feedback id definately dispute it since the buyer is a tool, but since its neutral id probably just comment on it in your feedback profile and leave it at that

That's awesome, your help is MUCH appreciated!!! I've checked out all of your sites (cpushack.net, cpu-world.com, and cpudb.com) and learned a lot from all of them. Very, very nice. I've bookmarked all of them and will check back.

If you ever need a friend on eBay, look me up!

Thanks again,
