Hi, i dont know much about computers so seeing if i can get help here...
im wondering what problem it is for my cpu which has start up problems. what happens is after i press on my cpu, it start ups seemingly normally, but the monitor does not recieve signal at all, and the keyboard locks lights either do not light up at all, or all light up once upon startup then stays off. |

1. Can you open your pc?
2. There are many possible causes for the pc to freeze like you say.
1. Can you replace your PSU (power unit) with another one?
Unplug all the peripherals connected to your motherboard (e.g. Hd, dvd-rom). Do you have another video card to try a boot?
Try to remove all the Ram sticks and to boot up the pc with one at a time to see if they are the cause.
Remove all usb devices, even keyboard.
2. All the items above can cause to freeze as you describe.
Cpu could have temperature issues, maybe you could check if the heatsink is correctly placed, or if the thermal paste hasn't gone dry.
If too much heat biulds up at start up it could freeze like that (usually in newer boards it just powers down).
Give us the full specifications of your pc. |
