I think I've got to have one of these at home (no I don't think it is abit of an overkill to run Word & Excel):
The World’s First 5-Million IOPS Flash-based SSD System
The RamSan-6200 is the fastest, highest capacity SSD system on the market. The RamSan-6200 offers 100 terabytes of Flash-based storage in one 40U rack configuration that can sustain five million IOPS with 60GB/sec throughput. The RamSan-6200 is the only currently available SSD system offering anything remotely approaching this storage capacity and performance. For enterprises with large datasets requiring extreme performance and bandwidth, the RamSan-6200 is the ultimate solution. |

I have been thinking about getting a SSD drive myself, But still a bit pricey for the larger capacity ones. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |

Yeah, I just bought an Intel 160G for my laptop. Thought it was a good idea to upgrade prior to installing windows 7 _________________ My former Intel collection:

how old were the ones youve replaced so far, 1 year or less? And what are they doing with them to wear them out so fast. I cant see that being acceptable for a drive unit. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |
