upgrade cpu problem

hi, i have a dv9825nr laptop, i recently upgraded my cpu from t5500to t7700 and i updated the bios. however, although in the system under control panel and msinfo32 it said i have t7700, in the device manager it still said i have t5500. does the computer still think i have t5500 installed and run at 1.8gz max? what should i do?
