Anyone now about these two chips? description and numbers:
SC12013 / 7420 below first number / White ceramic / Gold top cover and legs / 16 pin
SC63317L / 7434 below the first number / White ceramic / Gold top cover and legs / 16 pin
Both Motorola. |

replace the SC with MC.....
and u will find the info...
SC12013 = dual modulus prescaler
SC63317L = not know.... |

Hi Kosmo
Is that a general rule; replace the SC with MC ? I thought SC was a custom chip (or maybe just custom marked). Would be useful if this rule was just that simple!  |

No, it's not as simple as replacing the SC with MC. SC part numers are all custom part numbers, and there are not many sources for finding full info on what SC part number corresponds to what MC part number. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

| Looks like the XC12013 is a pre-production chip of the MC12013, which is an ECL "Dual-modulus prescalar for PLL". Amazingly for 1974 chip, it was running at 500 MHz frequency ... it shows how good the Motorola ECL stuff was back then |
