Dumb Heat Sink Question :p

Well I have an LGA 775 socket, with a Core 2 Duo intel 3.0 ghz.

But I want to upgrade from the stock heat sink up to a V8.

Will this sink work with my mobo? I keep kicking myself for asking dumb questions, But better safe then sorry .

A yes / No answer will work for this question. You may also call me dumb too >_>.

I have a very good experience with Zerotherm BTF90.

My Q6600 gets only 40 °C hot under continuous 100% load of all four cores (BOINC).
And this model of cooler is quite quiet.
